The fruitful life of a writer seeks showers as well as sunshine. Most of all, it seeks to compose a story for every size of soul.
Jozef Imrich the author of the forthcoming book COLD RIVER said, "My goal, each time I turn on the computer, is to write one sentence and reach one reader."
Jozef writes liquid prose. It flows like a sparkling Slavic stream, dancing over sharp rocks, purling in still pools, reflecting sun, rain, and pain.
The escape across the Iron Curtain river is not the theme of the COLD RIVER. The theme the sole survivor, Jozef, wrote is about more than that. It's about the place and a good look at the people who did not choose the destiny, but destiny chose them to come to a place like this, and how the Iron Curtain can provide soulful desire for freedom - and can also turn into something else.
As Honoré de Balzac had understood so well, there is nothing new under the sun, yet we have no choice but to continue the never ending journey of the human challenges:
"Holding this book in your hand, sinking back in your soft armchair, you say to yourself: perhaps it will amuse me. And after you have read this story of great misfortunes, you will no doubt dine well, blaming the author for your own insensitivity, accusing him of wild exaggeration and flights of fancy. But rest assured: this tragedy is not a fiction. All is true."
